“In September 2008 I will be graduating from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Visual Arts, majoring in 3D studies, from the School of Arts and Social Sciences. The cover image is derived from my mixed media body of work titled Spent. Exploring the relationship between semiotics and substance, the piñata became a playful and performative way to express anxieties corresponding to a world fixated on notions of productivity and prosperity.” Jane Nicholes
